Anti-Bullying Act
President Benigno Aquino of the Philippines, signed Republic Act 10627
or the “Anti-Bullying Act of 2013” last Sept. 6, 2013
The act\law requiring all elementary and secondary schools to adopt policies
to prevent and address bullying in their institutions.
The law defines bullying as any severe or repeated use by one or more
students of a written, verbal or electronic expression, or a physical act or
gesture, or any combination thereof, directed at another student that has the
effect of actually causing or placing the latter in reasonable fear of physical
or emotional harm or damage to his property; creating a hostile environment at
school for the other students.
The act of bullying also involves infringing on the rights of other students
at school or materially and substantially disrupting the education process or
the orderly preparation of a school.
The school superintendents should come up with their respective policies to
address bullying within six months after the law becomes effective.

requirements under the Act.

About 2.5 million kids has been a victim of bullying, verbally or physically
bullied, Based on the report.
I been very aware of bullying because I am too was a victim of bullying by
my Teacher and by my classmate.
On my time, we look our teacher as a mother in school that’s why we didn’t
report their cruelty in us, even to our parents, there’s a time that my teacher
hit me with eraser in the head, not only that, our teacher is really a cruel
teacher.
Hopefully this bill will help to stop the old and long cases of bullying in
the school, several kids has already stopped studying, the others had been
traumatized because of bullying, with this bill the parents will have a peace
of mind as well as their kids.
